GOING DOWN SINGING
Spring / 2017
Going Down Singing is the editio princeps of a poem in nine parts by Robert Bringhurst with ten burnished aquatints by Joseph Goldyne. It is also a testament to the deep friendship of poet and artist. Goldyne's initial studies - powerful, dream-like images of waterfalls - came first and were made in a variety of media. Then the project coalesced. The poem was written and the final etchings were created in response to one another.
